We will spend 5 days focusing on the fjord and the coast and the boats that used this national road to develop the country and connect town and country. For over a hundred years, fjord boats were the most important means of transportation for people in the fjord county of Sogn og Fjordane when they had to travel further than their nearest neighbor. The fjord boats, whether they were powered by steam or oil, were the very lifeblood of many of the villages in the county. Naturally, everyone had strong opinions about both boats and timetables, and in a coastal town like Florø there are fewer and the opinions are still strong. As one of the few municipalities along the coast, we still have a route structure with 4-5 "fjord boats" that still bring people to and from work and school every day from the many inhabited islands in the Floraskjergården.
We will create 5 social days, where we will spread culture, history, experiences, joy and excitement. Florø is a small and intimate town, in a still vibrant archipelago that offers many surprises for both locals and visitors. All quays, the entire city center and the entire district will be put to use! It will be an intimate meeting, where there is a short distance between boats and people. Here there will be close contact between familiar people from other boats and the good stories. All types of vessels are welcome, and we will have room for everyone. The town and the district will definitely get to know the atmosphere!
