Programme 2015

Wednesday 5/8

The boats leave Bergen and Ålesund together for Florø in the morning with overnight stays en route and the first social gathering in the evening. All boats leave Bergen together at 12:00, and it is possible to follow D/S Stord, D/S Oster, M/S Granvin and M/S Atløy via various stopping points, all with a common arrival in Skjerjehamn at 17:30. Timetables, booking and prices for joining can be found here. If you need accommodation in Skjerjehamn, you can contact them here. The evening in Skjerjehamn is guaranteed to be memorable.

 

 

Thursday 6/8

There will be visits to several ports along the coast, and arrival in Florø at 16:30 so that you can follow the express south if you absolutely do not want to be in Florø. If you would like to join all or part of the trip, you can find routes, prices and boats here.

09:30 Joint departure from Skjerjehamn via Sollibotn, Sørbøvåg, Krakhella and Askvoll to Florø.

14:00 M/S “Atløy” and D/S “Stord” depart from Askvoll. If you want to join, you can find tickets here

16:30 Veteran bus from Førde to opening ceremony and entrance.

18:00 Opening ceremony at the square in Florø. The boats parade in and are presented. Speakers. Joint singing of “Evenetyrlast” with Sigrid Moldestad as lead singer.

19:30 Crew restaurant with a free snack for everyone with a crew card

19:30 The Aurlandsbus returns to Førde.

20:30 Summer revue “Small is Good”. Tickets can be found here!

22:00 Backyard concert with Sigrid Moldestad at Blomsterhagen. Doors open at 21:00. Tickets at Blomsterhagen or at the door.

 

 

Friday 7/8

It will be a route history day where the public is invited to take tours of the district with both buses and boats.

09:00 Bus departure with a vintage bus and flour route from Førde.

09:15 Skipper meeting for all boats in route at M/S "Sandnes"

11:00 Departure round trip to Svanøy, Høydalane, Kinn, Kalvåg and an exciting trip to the radio station at Roska by boat, possibly in combination with a bus. Tickets for all tours are purchased upon departure, or at Haffen (Wednesday 12-18, Thursday 12-20 and Friday/Saturday 09-17). If you want to be sure of a place, it is best to buy in advance, especially for the steamships.

11:30 Join us to Nordalsfjorden and pick up milk the old-fashioned way with a real "station wagon". We promise the ultimate guide, without a microphone!

13:00 Professional seminar for owners and operators of older vessels organized by the Norwegian Association for Marine Protection, the Norwegian Maritime Directorate, the Norwegian Agency for Heritage and the Hardanger Marine Protection Center. Finished 15:00.

16:00 The Navy's choir Navy Vocalis sings at Fylkeskaia when KNM “Hitra”, M/S “Riskafjord” and the Shetland Skating Rink return from radio station Roska.

20:30 Summer revue “Small is Good” in the revue tent. Tickets here!

Mannskapkro at Kolkaia (v/D/S “Stavenes”) all day, all evening. Serving dinner and other things at reasonable prices.

 

 

Saturday 8/8

Market day where several of the boats leave early in the district to pick up people to Florø. Old cars, the Farmers' Market, 200 vintage cars, spontaneous concerts, revues and a bustling life. In 2010, the police estimated that there were 10,000 in the center, and that's a lot in little Florø. If you don't live "in the islands", you can follow the routes as a round trip both in the morning and afternoon.

08:00 The boats depart on schedule to Svanøy, Askrova, Høydalane, Stavang, Svanøy, Fanøy, Rognaldsvåg and Kalvåg. Prices and routes can be found here. Note that the route to Stavang / Høydalane starts at 07:30. Tickets for all trips can be purchased upon departure, or at Haffen (Wednesday 14-18, Thursday 14-20 and Friday/Saturday 09-17). If you want to be sure of a place, it is best to buy in advance, especially for the steamships.

10:00 Large market at Torget in Florø, including the Farmers' Market, various crafts and stalls.

11:00 Arrival of scheduled boats to Fylkeskaia.

11:15 Joint entry into Strandgata of cars from Bergen Veteranvogn Klubb, Sunnfjord Veteranvognklubb, 7-seater club and others who wish to come

11:30 Tours with a vintage bus and 7 seats. Ticket with departure from Jens Helmers

15:00 Routes and round trips to Svanøy, Askrova, Høydalane, Stavang, Svanøy, Fanøy, Rognaldsvåg and Kalvåg. Tickets for all trips can be purchased upon departure, or at Haffen (Wednesday 14-18, Thursday 14-20 and Friday/Saturday 09-17). 15:00 Archipelago cruise with D/S “Stord”, 3 hours. Departure from Atløy's usual quay. If you want to be sure of a place, it is best to buy in advance, especially for this trip.

15:00 3 hours Archipelago cruise with D/S Stord1

18:00 The boats return from their routes.

18:30 “An evening with Vera Lynn”. Concert with the navy's shanty choir Navy Vocalis at Flora Samfunnshus, with well-known and beloved songs from Vera Lynn, but also from Erik Bye, Johannes Kleppevik and Jacob Sande. The evening's soloist is Marianne Juvik Sæbø. Information and tickets can be found here.
